What is nylon fabric
The scientific name of nylon is polyamide fiber, which is the general name for polyamide fibers produced in China. Internationally known as nylon. It has high strength, wear resistance and good resilience. It can be made into various clothing materials and knitwear by pure spinning and blending. The main varieties are nylon 6 and nylon 66, and their physical properties are similar. Nylon has better hygroscopicity and dyeability than polyester, and is resistant to alkali but not acid. Its fiber strength will decrease when exposed to sunlight for a long time. Nylon has heat-setting properties and can maintain the bending deformation formed when heated.

Nylon fabric properties
Nylon has strong performance and good wear resistance, ranking first among all fibers. Its abrasion resistance is 10 times that of cotton fiber, 10 times that of dry viscose fiber, and 140 times that of wet fiber. Therefore, its durability is excellent.
Nylon fabric has excellent elasticity and elastic recovery, but it is easy to deform under small external force, so the fabric is easy to wrinkle during wearing.
The hygroscopicity of nylon fabric is better than that of synthetic fiber fabrics, so clothing made of nylon is more comfortable to wear than polyester clothing. The heat resistance and light resistance are not good enough, so the ironing temperature should be controlled below 140℃.
During wearing and use, you must pay attention to the washing and maintenance conditions to avoid damaging the fabric. Nylon fabric is a light fabric and is only listed after polypropylene and acrylic fabrics among synthetic fabrics. Therefore, it is suitable for making mountaineering clothing, winter clothing, etc.
Uses of nylon fabric
The filament of nylon can be made into elastic yarn, and the short yarn can be blended with cotton and acrylic to improve its strength and elasticity. In addition to its application in clothing and decorations, it is also widely used in industry such as cords, transmission belts, hoses, ropes, fishing nets, tires, parachutes, etc.
