China Brand Apparel Network: Hello, Nick! Why did you choose the clothing design industry?
Nick: My mother is a very good fashion designer. I have been exposed to many beautiful fabrics since I was a child and was influenced by her. I also have an innate love for aesthetics and became a fashion designer. The teacher is my fantasy.
China Brand Clothing Network: Please tell us about your impression of Theme brand women’s clothing.
Nick: Theme is a Hong Kong brand with a history of more than 30 years. I am very fond of it.
China Brand Clothing Network: What are the main styles of Theme’s clothing?
Nick: Theme is a stylish business attire brand. It is different from ordinary boring business attire. We have conducted in-depth research on styles, fabrics, matching details, etc., and added more trendy elements to push “off-duty clothes” to the forefront. A higher level, striving to be an expert in the “fast fashion” of Chinese professional attire.
China Brand Clothing Network: Will there be any breakthroughs in style in the future development of Theme?
Nick: The Theme brand was established in Hong Kong in 1980. Over the years, we have been focusing on research on styles, tailoring and fabrics. In the future development, fast fashion elements will be added, and we will break the image of boring professional attire and achieve the perfect combination of “get off work clothes” + “style”. Modern professional women have many wild ideas, and Theme will ask for more room for their imagination.
China Brand Apparel Network: In this exhibition, Theme held a press conference with the theme of “Dream·Walking”. What kind of works did you bring to us? What are their characteristics?
Nick: Our fashion show uses sleepwalking as the theme, and we want to create a more abstract effect. We divided the press conference into two parts. One part is “formal wear”. The models will wear administrative clothes. At the same time, modern women are intellectual. They have their own ideas and don’t want to be restricted too much. We let them wear The white wings allow them to fly freely in their workplaces; the second part is Dreamland for women, which extracts fashion elements from the two fashion capitals of Milan and Paris, allowing women to show off their full potential. Elegance, showing off their beauty to the fullest.
China Brand Clothing Network: Can you talk about what is currently popular in the clothing industry? Do you use these popular elements in your works? Which works are you satisfied with?
Nick: From the color point of view, the trend in 2012 will be apricot and green, which give people a more comfortable feeling. Red, orange and purple are another major colors, which are more fashionable. For winter clothing, we combine the natural characteristics of colder summers and incorporate more cashmere coats, more slim-fitting multi-colored down jackets, leggings, and other clothing. My works also incorporate more updated fashion elements. I like all the works in the two series very much. Every piece is the careful work of our team.
China Brand Clothing Network: We say that inspiration is the source of good works. How do you usually get inspiration?
Nick: Our design concepts generally come from three aspects, one is the current fashion trend elements; the other is the purchasing habits and preferences of our brand customers, and the third is the various styles of cities and nature that come from us. . I love traveling very much. Fashionable cities like Paris and Milan and some relaxing resort villages are where I get inspiration.
China Brand Apparel Network: After this exhibition, what kind of visual feast do you expect to bring to yourself?
Nick: After this fashion show, I hope to bring the popular element of “stylish get off work clothes” to myself, just like our slogan “break & reborn” (old and new), I also hope to bring the trendy Theme A new image of professional attire appears for yourself. Thanks!
