We always wear work clothes in our unit. The clothes customized by the group have relatively high-end fabrics and novel styles, but because they are work clothes, they are not popular. Usually, I change into work clothes when I walk into the company, and change out of work clothes when I leave the company. Therefore, many people never wash their work clothes. Even if the work clothes are stained with ink, or have buttons missing, or are torn at the feet… When prompted by well-meaning people, he will mutter: “Who cares about public clothes?” Really, as soon as he got off work, he would put on his straight suit and walk out of the company door dejectedly. If a leaf fell on his suit, he would be eager to take it to the dry cleaners for cleaning. What a difference!
Working uniforms are frowned upon, and it’s not just in our unit. I saw many couriers who came to our company to pick up express packages. Their clothes were dirty and unsightly. The clothes worn by nurses in some hospitals can make people feel conflicted just by looking at them – how can they take care of patients even if their clothes are not clean?
People rely on clothing and horses rely on saddles. Workplace attire can also reflect a person’s work attitude. What happened to the public’s clothes? Isn’t it worn on you? You are now the servant of clothes. If you don’t even take care of the buttons of your clothes, how can you be expected to work loosely and pragmatically? How can you sweep the world if you don’t sweep one “clothes”?
The company spends money to customize work clothes for us every year in order to establish the corporate image and shape the corporate culture. If a client sees you wearing dirty work clothes and looking immodestly dressed, how will they view our work ability? How would you rate our company? When we walk into a restaurant, if the waiter’s clothes are clean and tidy, we will feel disgusted; similarly, if the waiter is standing next to you covered in oil stains, will you not even want to order the food, but just want to hurry up? separate? If you saw a real estate agent wearing a suit and short tie, wiping his glasses with the corner of his suit while talking to you, would you still let him help you take care of your house?
Once you put on business attire, you also assume the responsibility of a job. Don’t take work attire seriously.
