The heavy cotton T-shirts we buy every day sometimes have collars that become deformed after just two washes. Thin T-shirts can easily show through your underwear. Some situations are really embarrassing. The material is too thick and may become harder with washing. Some may even pill and become ugly. There were no problems when I bought it, but there were a lot of problems after I bought it. But by this time it was too late, the money had been spent.

Today I will teach you how to choose high-quality T-shirts that are suitable for our fabrics. The following dry information is worth sharing!

Cotton

Look at the raw materials for cotton clothing!

The fabric processing procedure is to make yarn from raw materials, and the yarn becomes fabric. Some fabrics will be processed again before they are sewn into clothes.

Cotton is divided into fine-staple cotton and long-staple cotton according to the length and thickness of cotton fibers. The advantage of fine velvet cotton is that it is cheap. Disadvantages: easy to wrinkle, shrink, and have low elasticity. When shopping online, if there is no obvious indication of long-staple cotton, it is usually fine-staple cotton! The price depends on the number of pieces, ranging from more than 20 yuan to more than 80 yuan!

Long-staple cotton is divided into three types according to its place of origin: Pima cotton (produced in the United States and Peru) Egyptian cotton (produced in Egypt) long-staple cotton (produced in Xinjiang, China) Pima cotton is soft and drapey luster! Egyptian cotton is often used in high-end fabrics with a sheen like silk. It can almost be said to be the most expensive among cotton types. Xinjiang cotton fiber is long, strong, durable, wrinkle-free and shiny. Some of them are even better than Egyptian cotton.

When long-staple cotton is processed into yarn, the short fibers are strictly removed by machines, leaving neat long fibers called combed cotton. There is no such thing. The process is called carded cotton! Combed cotton is smooth and flat, soft and comfortable, strong and durable, and not prone to shrinkage and pilling. After the combed cotton is made into fabric, it is made into high-quality mercerized cotton through some processes! It has a silk-like luster.

The material of mercerized cotton is generally made of long-staple cotton. The raw material is much better than ordinary cotton from the beginning, and it needs to go through a more complicated and cumbersome process. So the price will be much more expensive than ordinary ones.

I will introduce it to you now. Types, advantages, characteristics and disadvantages of cotton. Now back to the topic. Prices like 20-30-40 currently sold online generally use fine velvet cotton. And the count won’t be too high. You should be able to tell clearly when you buy a T-shirt at this price! The surface is not smooth, and some are even a little hard. Warp and weft interwoven yarns will look thick. If the weight is too heavy, it will be thick and stuffy, and if it is any worse, it may feel tingling on the body. I feel uncomfortable and itchy when I put it on. If it is too thin, it will be too transparent. It loses its shape after being worn a few times. (The prime number represents the thickness of the yarn. The higher the count, the thinner the yarn, the better the quality, and the better the clothes.)

In summer, I recommend that everyone wear about 180 grams to 220 grams. Pure cotton T-shirt. Count from 40 to 100! It won’t show through and is light and cool. It won’t be too heavy. Everyone has worn a slightly heavier T-shirt. Have you ever had that uncomfortable feeling when you are sweating profusely in the summer and your T-shirt sticks to your skin after absorbing the sweat? It’s itchy, greasy, and uncomfortable. If you like something more elastic. You can choose high-count cotton and spandex! Spandex can increase the elasticity of clothes.

As for what kind of cotton to buy, it depends on your personal financial strength! and normal spending habits. It depends on whether you like to wear it or throw it away, it’s cheaper to buy it anyway! Nothing to feel bad about. Still prefer to buy less. But buy it! Because it can be worn for a long time!

Let me tell you the approximate price! Long-staple cotton, Pima cotton, and Egyptian cotton. If they make mercerized cotton with a count of 50, the price will be around 40 to 50 meters per meter! Find it in a factory! I’ll just follow the price I found the factory for last year! The one-stop service from cutting to flattening, ironing, labeling and packaging costs about 10 yuan. The cost of one piece is about 60. Oh, by the way, there are quality inspections and some miscellaneous costs. I will give you a rough idea. If you buy it online, you can definitely get it for 90 to 130. The price I mentioned is the price sold in ordinary stores. It’s not those internet celebrity stores and brands. They should be thirty or forty more expensive. Because the advertising platform fees are really high! ! ! Employee wages and so on. Big companies have a lot going on.

You can check it out! Have any sisters bought one? Find out whether you bought it at a super low price, an abnormal price or a high price. If the price is super low, there must be something wrong. It is impossible for a merchant to lose money to you. If it’s super high, it means paying for the brand. But some brands design it independently. It’s worth it!
