1. Yarn count of knitted fabrics:
Pure cotton yarn is a single yarn or strand of certain fineness and infinite length spun from cotton. It is suitable for tatting, knitting, Thread making, rope making, etc. Its specifications are often expressed in imperial count. The imperial count (Ne) of cotton yarn is defined as: the number of lengths of cotton yarn with a common weight of one pound. Calculation of the British count of cotton yarn: When the moisture regain is determined, the number of 840 yards of cotton yarn weighing one pound is called the British count. For example: if it contains 32 840 codes, it is called 32 British branches, and so on.

2. Yarn count classification :
Coarse count yarn: Pure cotton yarn with a count of 18 and below, mainly used for weaving thick fabrics or pile and loop cotton fabrics.
Medium count yarn: 19-29 inch pure cotton yarn. Mainly used for knitted garments with general requirements. Fine count yarn: pure cotton yarn with a count of 30-60. Mainly used for high-grade knitted cotton fabrics. Finer count yarn: pure cotton yarn with a count of 60 or more, used for high-end knitted cotton fabrics.
3. Carded and combed:
Carded yarn: refers to the yarn spun by carded spinning process, also called uncombed yarn.
Combed yarn: refers to yarn produced by using high-quality cotton fiber as raw material and adding a combing process during spinning compared with carded yarn.
4. Gram weight of knitted fabric:
Generally it is the grams of fabric weight per square meter. Gram weight is an important technical indicator of knitted fabrics. In knitted products, generally speaking, the heavier the weight, the thicker the fabric texture.
