Every spring and summer, Guangzhou’s knitwear scene is all over the place. Guangzhou has a complete fabric, accessories, processing plants, logistics and related industrial chains. The largest-selling knitted sweater in Guangzhou every spring and summer is women’s cotton T-shirt. I do knitting in the first half of the year and woolen weaving in the second half of the year. It would be a disservice to my business if I didn’t enjoy the excitement of women’s cotton T-shirts in spring and summer.

So what kind of fabric is cotton T-shirt usually made of? They are both made of cotton, so how can we tell them apart? Like most bosses who make women’s T-shirts, they usually choose three types of fabrics: pure cotton, CVC, and T/C.
Women’s T-shirts are the basic style in spring and summer
1. Pure cotton women’s T-shirt fabric
Pure cotton fabric, as the name suggests, is made of cotton as raw material and contains cotton content. A very tall fabric. (Here’s a reminder, don’t get hung up on the difference between pure cotton and pure cotton. In the fabric market, usually when the cotton content reaches more than 75%, it can be called pure cotton or pure cotton. These two names are just gimmicks.) This kind of fabric In the Zhongda fabric market, they are generally divided into combed and carded according to quality, 32-count and 40-count according to thickness, single-sided plain weave and double-sided plain weave according to feel, and straight elastic and double-sided plain weave according to elasticity. Bounce on all sides. (Only for common fabrics used in spring and summer women’s T-shirts) Pure cotton T-shirts are sweat-absorbent, breathable and comfortable, but prone to fluffing and wrinkles.
2. CVC women’s T-shirt fabric
CVC is a blended fabric of cotton and polyester. In the fabric market, fabrics with a greater cotton content than polyester are generally called CVC fabrics. The proportion is 55%-60% cotton and 45%-40% polyester. Polyester is a kind of chemical fiber fabric. The reason why it is blended with cotton is that the T-shirt produced after blending is durable, not easy to deform, and not easy to wrinkle. It should be noted that CVC is indeed cheaper than pure cotton, but when used as a women’s T-shirt, it does not absorb sweat well, has poor breathability, and is not comfortable. In the Zhongda fabric market, CVC and pure fabrics are classified similarly and are also commonly used women’s T-shirt fabrics.
Pure cotton and CVC have their own advantages and disadvantages
3. T/C women’s T-shirt fabric
T/C is a blended fabric of polyester and cotton, which sounds good The boss of Dabuhang said that CVC is called cotton-polyester blended fabric, and T/C is called polyester-cotton blended fabric. If these two words are reversed, the cost difference will be huge. In the fabric market, fabrics that contain more polyester than cotton are generally called T/C fabrics. The proportion of this kind of fabric is 65%-80% polyester and 35%-20% cotton. For most bosses, the only advantage of using this kind of fabric to make women’s T-shirts is that it is cheap and can meet the needs of low-price customers. In today’s Zhongda, for cotton T fabrics, T/C has been very marginalized and has basically been reduced to a special fabric for lining and interlining.
As for the fabrics of women’s cotton T-shirts, these three types are generally used in the Zhongda fabric market. Of course, the three types of fabrics have different qualities for different cloth lines. Entrepreneurs who want to produce women’s T-shirts can first try to buy cloth from a large cloth store. After becoming familiar with the different performances of various fabrics in the production process, they can then consider buying cloth from a cost-effective cloth store. Finally, I would like to remind you that buying knitted fabrics is priced by kilogram. Novices buying fabrics should pay attention to comparing the weight of paper tubes from various fabric shops (cement is added inside).
