Printed clothing refers to clothing made of textiles that use printing processes to form various printing and dyeing patterns or patterns.

Printed clothing is rich in color and has a strong sense of layering. However, printed clothing is easily damaged during washing, drying, ironing, etc. During maintenance, in addition to following the washing instructions, special care is also required. Today, let’s take a look at some tips for maintaining printed clothing.

Washing

There are many types of printing on printed clothing. Due to their particularity, dry cleaning is generally not possible. Most printed garments with functional and decorative accessories need to be zipped and buttons, rope ends and other accessories wrapped well before washing to avoid scratches on the printed parts during the washing process, which may cause scratches, fluffing, etc. on the printed surface, or even This will cause the printed part to fall off, affecting the aesthetics of the garment.

(1) When washing, you should choose phosphorus-free and bleach-free detergents. Do not use strong alkaline detergents for protein fiber printed garments such as mulberry silk to avoid fiber breakage and damage to the printed parts.

(2) Use hand washing, machine washing is not recommended, or machine washing in a laundry bag, but choose the gentle mode. The water temperature of knitted printed clothing and non-chemical fiber printed clothing cannot exceed 40°C.

(3) During the washing process, the clothes should be turned over so that the patterned side faces inward. Do not wash the pattern with force or use a brush or washboard, otherwise it will easily cause the hot diamonds or glitter to fall off. , printing cracking, folding, etc. It is not advisable to soak for a long time, only 5-6 minutes is enough. In particular, cellulose fibers are prone to swelling, causing surface roughness, blistering, bulging and other defects in the printed parts, affecting the appearance.

(4) After washing, press gently to drain the water. Do not wring it hard, and do not use a clothes dryer to dry it, as it may damage the printing.

Drying

During the drying process, the clothes should be turned over to dry, allowing the patterned side to dry naturally, avoiding exposure to the sun and strong light. It is easy to cause the printing to change color and the fabric to fade. If drying is required, silk and cotton products should be kept within 40°C. Do not use excessive force. Pulling the printed part of the clothing with your hands can easily cause damage such as deformation, blistering, and shedding of the print.

Ironing

If ironing is required, in addition to ironing according to the care temperature, use steam ironing as much as possible. The ironing temperature should not exceed 80℃. . Products containing elastic fibers cannot be ironed at high temperatures to avoid damaging the tissue structure of the elastic fibers and affecting the elasticity of the clothes. Also, do not iron directly on the pattern. If you need to iron the print, you need to put a layer of cloth on the print. Ironing.

Storage

After ironing, clothes cannot be stuffed into a small space immediately. They should be hung on hangers or placed flat to keep the clothes flat and maintain the environment. dry.

We also need to remind you that if pilling occurs on clothes, you must use a pill remover to deal with it. Do not stick or pull it off, otherwise the fibers will be stretched, pilling will continue, and the printing may be damaged. When printed garments inevitably need to be stacked, be careful not to place the printed parts close together to prevent them from sticking, causing problems such as blistering, staining, and shedding, which will affect the overall appearance and quality of the garments.
